The 2011 Long Teng Cup, one of the prestigious events that featured the four-nation footballing nation in East Asia which comprises of Chinese Taipei, Hongkong, Philippines and Macau will be live streamed here. The Philippine Azkals will battle it out against Hongkong, the depending champion today.
The Philippine Azkals who will be sending its National Team which is
now composed of veterans and newcomers as well as the U-23 team which is
preparing for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games. During the 2010
edition of the game the Azkals have placed third behind Hongkong and
hosts Taiwan.
Last years edition of the game had also shown some achievements of the Philippine Team with Ian Araneta recognized having made the most number of goals at 4 goals in the tournament. Last years the Philippine Azkals had lost against Hongkong in the opening day match with a score at 4-2.Hongkong which ranked 155 at the current FIFA world ranking will be sending now its seniors team unlike last years wherein they send only their U-23 squad. The Philippines having improved a lot after their semi-final stint in the Suzuki Cup and reaching the 2nd stage of 2014 World Cup is now a force to reckoned with in football.
