Latest Update: The PBA on Friday approved the blockbuster five-man trade involving Barako Bull, Barangay Ginebra, and B-MEG.  

        PBA commissioner Chito Salud, who has the right to revise or veto transactions that he deems imbalanced, gave his stamp of approval to the trade as is.
 
      “The three-way trade was fairly sound and reasonable,” he said. “The teams gave and received players and picks of relative even value and use for their respective purposes.”

             Powerade made a late run in the eliminations to crash the quarterfinals, but few people gave the Tigers much of a chance against top-seeded B-MEG. But even though the jobs of the coaching staff of the Tigers were already secure, the team didn’t want to just settle for a playoff appearance, stunning the Llamados twice to advance to the semifinals. And as Powerade outlasted Rain or Shine in an intense seven-game series.

        Two different stories but yet shares same agony of suffering before tasting the sweetness of success. Powerade, manages to be included in the quarter-finals and yet battling a big disadvantage over the No. 1 Seed B-Meg Llamados. They certainly overcame such a grueling climb in order to be in the Championship Finals. Meanwhile, the Talk N Text made a miraculous comeback from 1-3 deficit to book it's way to another crack at defending All-Filipino Crown.

           Another partnership spanning at least 20 years comes to an end. Last August, Tim Cone and Alaska ended their 22-year relationship when the former jumped ship to become coach of the B-MEG Llamados. Now its Jong Uichico’s turn, reportedly moving from the San Miguel Corporation umbrella to the group of Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Gary David got his 30-point game anew, but Powerade suffered an ugly loss to Rain or Shine.

          Another big game by Mr. Pure Energy Gary David keyed the Powerade Tigers 104-99 win in overtime over the Elasto Painters Sunday. The Powerade scoring machine delivered a fifth consecutive 30-point performance as the Tigers surged ahead, 2-1, in their side of the best-of-seven semifinals.
